Zach Wahls

Zach Wahls


Zach Wahls is a graduate of the University of Iowa, an advocate for LGBTQ rights, an Eagle Scout, and a co-founder and the former executive director of Scouts for Equality, the national campaign to end discrimination in the Boy Scouts of America.

His testimony before the Iowa House Judiciary Committee was YouTube’s most-watched political video of 2011. He is a Truman Scholar and the author of the national bestseller My Two Moms: Lessons of Love, Strength and What Makes a Family. He lives in Iowa City, Iowa.
