Intel Pauses Donations Over BSA’s Anti-Gay Policy
On 24, Sep 2012 | In Campaign News | By Scouts for Equality
In two days, Scouts for Equality amassed over 31,000 petition signatures asking Intel to stop its donations to the Boy Scouts of America until they end their policy of discrimination. Intel, holding true to their 100% rating by the Human Rights Campaign, quickly responded and has agreed to require recipients of their funding to sign a statement of non-discrimination.
As the largest corporate donor to the Boy Scouts, the loss of Intel sends a clear message to the BSA that discrimination is wrong, and that “A Scout is Equal.”
